Superintendent Job Entry Plan

First Day

Goal: Meet with office staff and Leadership Team

Objectives: Introductions and Expectations

Activities: I would like to meet with the office staff and the Leadership Team to introduce myself. I would meet with the office staff first thing. My goal is to become more acquainted with the office personnel and understand each of their roles in the office. In the afternoon I would meet with the Leadership Team to introduce myself to them. I explain my vision for the district.

Resources: Time

First Week

Goal: Meet with each all principals and each member of the Leadership Team and Board of Trustees

Objectives: Introductions and Expectations

Activities: During the first week, I would meet with all principals. I want to meet with the Leadership Team to discuss roles and expectations for each department. I would establish a schedule for weekly meetings. I would also like to meet each individual member of the Board of Trustees to introduce myself and explain my vision for the district.

Resources: Time

First Month

Goal: Visit all campuses and establishing goals for the district

Objectives: Identify strengths and weakness of the district

Activities: I would visit all campuses throughout the district. I would establish meetings with the Leadership Team to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses. I would work with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to create a staff development plan for all teachers and administrators.

First Year

Goal: Establishing Goals and Budget

Objectives:  Moving forward with district vision, staff development plan, and budget

Activities: Weekly meetings with Administrative Team. Continuing with assessment of student performance. Working closely with CFO to address district needs and budget issues.
