Three Year Plan

Three Year Professional Development Plan

The three year professional development plan was an interesting assignment. I was able to reflect back on my SBEC assessments, LCE Exam, and conversations with my site supervisor to create my plan. My goal was to focus on areas that need improving or areas that I will be experiencing in the immediate future.  The first year of the plan, I will be focusing on technology and C Scope integration. I want to be competent in both areas. I will be working closely with the Director of Curriculum /Instruction and the Director of Technology.

The second year of the plan, I will focus on professional learning communities and communication with the community. My campus has established professional learning communities, but I would like for the learning teams to bring curriculum, student performance, and goals to improve student learning across the campus. I would also like to try to improve communication with stakeholders and form partnerships. Partnerships can be very beneficial to the success of the campus.

The third year of the plan, I want to improve my understanding of the procedure for budget planning and management.  My short term goal is to become a principal and this information is very important when operating a campus. I also want to implement effective strategies for recruiting and hiring new teachers and staff. This is the most important step that an administrator can make. I want to improve the process across the district.
